Hunting the O2 Fakers

The Scam Interceptors are on the trail of a Pakistan-based criminal call centre which is phoning UK mobiles pretending to be a phone company. It’s a sophisticated scam in which they appear to offer a great deal on a mobile phone contract when in fact, the only person paying will be the victim. Rav, Nick and the Interceptors go head-to-head with the criminals to try to warn the victim before any money is handed over to the crooks.

Episode 12

The £900 iPhone Scam

A student has taken a call from what she thinks is a retail giant’s fraud team, warning her that hackers have bought a £900 phone on her account. It’s a lie, of course, but she won’t know that unless Rav, Nick and the Interceptors team can find a way to get through to her. Meanwhile, the team are on the road with the Metropolitan Police as they set about smashing down the doors of a group of number-spoofing scammers.

Your Visa Card's Been Hacked

A woman thinks she is speaking to a card company's fraud department, which is telling her that her debit card has been hacked and an unauthorised transaction made. But she is actually talking to scammers, and the only thing they are after is her money - but she won’t know that unless the Interceptors can get hold of her to warn her not to part with her cash. Meanwhile, ethical hacker Jim Browning gives chapter and verse on who’s behind some of the scam call centres he has hacked into, and how much money the people at the top are making from their crimes.

The Phoney Cancellation Form

A man believes he has accidentally taken out a subscription, and he wants his money back. What he doesn’t know is that he is really talking to scammers, and the cancellation form they are asking him to fill in is actually a fast track to giving them his hard-earned cash. That is, unless the Interceptors can get hold of him before he parts with any money. Meanwhile, we hear from a woman who handed over £20,000 to fraudsters she thought were helping her take advantage of a government energy rebate.

Episode 15

The £2,000 Cash Withdrawal

Scammers posing as a bank’s fraud team have convinced a vulnerable woman to withdraw £2,000 in cash to help them expose a conspiracy of criminals they say are operating at her local bank branch. The only people who can stop her sending the money are the Interceptors, but they’ve got a job on their hands to convince her who the real criminals are. Meanwhile, Nick goes undercover to infiltrate a fake investment scam.

Episode 16

Looking for Love - Hunting the Romance Scammer

The Interceptors go online dating and, within hours, have lured in a romance scammer claiming to be a cruise ship agent. The man is asking for money, but how will he react when the team reveal who they really are? Meanwhile, in the Scam Hub, the Chapman family believe they are talking to a card company and that there is a problem with their debit card. Can the team intervene to stop them making a big mistake?

Episode 17

Absolute Bankers

The bank fraudsters are at it again, calling vulnerable people in the UK and trying to convince them their bank accounts have been compromised and they need to move their money to keep it safe. It falls to Rav and the Interceptor team to try to stop anyone handing over their cash. Meanwhile, a dog groomer's social media account has been hacked by scammers, and they want £300 to give it back to her.

Episode 18

The Mega Scam Call Centre

It is the biggest scam call centre the team have ever come across, and one of its agents has lured in a man who believes he is talking to an internet retail giant. He thinks they owe him money for a subscription he doesn’t want but, in fact, they’ve got control of his phone, and they are about to get his cash. It is up to Rav and the team to try to stop them.

They Can See Your Phone Screen

A mother and daughter let scammers claiming to be from a retail giant take control of their mobile phone. The women think they are owed back money for a subscription they never wanted - but in fact, the scammers are about to steal their cash. It is up to Rav and the team to try to stop them.

Episode 20

The Vodafone Fakers

A man believes he is on the cusp of an incredible new phone deal from his mobile company. But in fact, he is talking to scammers who are about to use the information he is giving them to buy themselves a very expensive mobile phone on his account. The only people who can stop it going ahead are Rav, Nick and the Interceptors – if they can find a way to get hold of him.
