Ednei Giovenazzi is a former actor. Born on August 12, 1930, in Pederneiras, São Paulo, he moved to the capital of São Paulo, where he graduated in Dentistry and made his debut in theater in the 1950s. On television, he made his debut in 1967 in the Tupi's soap operas Yoshico, um Poema de Amor, O Jardineiro Espanhol and O Pequeno Lord. In 1968, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he began acting in Globo's soap operas such as O Santo Mestiço (1968), Pigmalião 70 (1970), Selva de Pedra (1972) and Os Ossos do Barão (1973). Later, in the same decade, he returned to São Paulo where he returned to acting in Tupi. He won prominent roles in A Barba Azul (1974), Ovelha Negra (1975), Xeque-Mate (1976), O Julgamento (1976) and Salário Mínimo (1978). For a time, he combined his work as an actor with that of a dentist in the public service. Until he decided to leave dentistry to dedicate himself solely to his acting career. In the following decades, he acted and made guest appearances in soap operas on Globo, Band, SBT and Manchete. His last work was playing Messias in Sparkling Girls (2012). In 2014, he decided to retire and since then, he has maintained a discreet life.
